Tottenham set for record Giovani Lo Celso signing
Spurs have already broken their record transfer this summer, landing Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
However, according to the Mirror’s Darren Lewis on Thursday, Tottenham are set to smash that record again.
Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has been a rumoured target for some time, and the Mirror now report the following:
Spurs are set to smash their transfer record for a second time this summer as they finally step up their interest in £70million-rated midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
Betis have signed his replacement already, moving to agree a five-year deal for £22million Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir.
To be clear, at the time of writing, neither Betis nor Lyon have confirmed the Fekir deal.

It’s also worth noting that while the Mirror seem confident that Lo Celso will join Tottenham, the Evening Standard have reported that Benfica are also considering a move for the midfielder.
Benfica have the cash to sign Lo Celso after selling Joao Felix to Atletico Madrid for €120m.
Tanguy Ndombele’s shirt number revealed
With Lo Celso still at Betis, Tanguy Ndombele remains Tottenham’s record signing for now.
Ndombele signed a six-year deal with Spurs, while the cost of the deal could end up being 65 million pounds.
On Thursday, Tottenham have confirmed that Ndombele will wear the number 28 shirt this season.
The shirt number was last worn by Tom Carroll in the 2016-17 season.
Before that, Kyle Walker was the #28 from 2009 to 2013.
