Parrott pens new deal
It was reported by the Evening Standard on Thursday the 6th of February that Tottenham youngster Troy Parrott had signed a new contract with the club.
The 18-year-old centre-forward apparently attracted interest from German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund when he had 18 months left on his previous deal, as per the Standard.
Now, on Friday, Tottenham have officially confirmed that the Republic of Ireland international has signed a new deal, keeping him at the club until 2023.
Parrott has made just two appearances for Spurs’ senior side, but he has been very impressive with their youth sides this term, netting six in four UEFA Youth League outings.
Tottenham in talks with Tanganga
Now, with Parrott tied down, it looks as though the Lilywhites have turned their attention to another of their up and coming stars.
As per the Evening Standard, Spurs are in talks to offer Japhet Tanganga a new deal.
Tanganga has begun to feature fairly heavily for Tottenham’s senior side in recent weeks.
The 20-year-old has now notched seven appearances for Tottenham under Jose Mourinho, making his debut in an incredibly tough tie vs Liverpool in January.
And despite being a centre-back by trade, Tanganga has been very impressive at both left and right-back for the north London outfit.
Now, after some excellent displays, it looks as though Spurs are set to reward the promising youngster with an improved deal.
As per the previously-linked report from the Standard, Tanganga, who is currently contracted to Spurs until 2021, is believed to be earning around £1,500-a-week.
However, according to the ES, Spurs are now in talks with the England under-20 international to offer him a new deal worth £15,000-a-week.
