Tottenham Hotspur are seeking a replacement for Mousa Dembele, whose contract expires in 18-months time.
Spurs have identified three midfielders currently playing Europe who could potentially replace the 30-year-old, according to West London Sport.
The ageing midfielder, mixed with constant injury concerns, has meant the club have doubts over the amount of time the Belgian has at his peak.
Dembele under Mauricio Pochettino, as of the 2015/16 season, became one of the first names on the team sheet at Tottenham.
However, following the emergence of Harry Winks, Victor Wanyama soon returning from injury, and Dembele’s injury track record, his place in the line-up is no longer a certainty.
Dembele’s career has been plagued with injuries, holding back such a clearly talented midfielder from continuing to develop.
The player possesses a rare set of traits, which includes the way he shields the ball, becoming well known for his incredible ability to retain possession.
Tottenham have now begun the search to find a player of a similar ilk to the former Fulham man.
Tottenham have been linked with the Frenchman at each of his last three clubs, Monaco, Inter and now Valencia.
Kondogbia is currently on loan at Valencia.
The Spanish club have so far made a strong start to La Liga, currently sat second five points behind Barcelona.
The 24-year-old has played a key part in their success making 13 appearances and scoring three times.
Tottenham are currently watching the 21-year-old has made 10 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
The Lille midfielder has struggled to nail down a place with the French club this season.
Bissouma can also play at right-back and centre-back, and possesses similar qualities to Dembele.

Guendouzi is swiftly becoming one of the hottest, young talents emerging in France.
Also being tracked by Manchester City, the French U20 midfielder has found his way into the first team at Lorient.
The 18-year-old has made 10 appearances in Ligue 2.
