Deadline day swoop?
Tottenham reportedly made an offer to Fulham for Ryan Sessegnon several weeks ago that would have seen Danny Rose go the other way.
Sessegnon is considered to be one of the most exciting youngsters in European football right now and is about to embark on his first Premier League season.
While he is a Fulham player right now, there have been suggestions that long-term admirers Tottenham could make a move for him late in this window.
However, there have now been counter-claims from the BBC’s David Ornstein suggesting otherwise.
He explains that Sessegnon will not be leaving Fulham ahead of the deadline on Thursday but revealed there was an interesting offer made ‘several weeks’ back.
It probably won’t happen but there is a small amount of concern at Fulham that Spurs will make a big deadline day bid for Ryan Sessegnon

That deal according to Ornstein was said to be a swap deal that would include Danny Rose heading to Craven Cottage.
The same tweet suggests that Tottenham want to offload the player and that could have been an ideal chance for them to do that.
They would also be getting a talented player in return with Ryan Sessegnon, however, there would likely have been money involved as well as Rose.
While it’s all good saying this now, it may not change anything going into the final 24 hours of the transfer window.
He claims Sessegnon will be staying at Fulham but with Spurs’ interest in him seemingly confirmed by the ever-reliable Ornstein, we could see them go back in for him in the next transfer window or next summer.
Tottenham made Fulham an offer for Sessegnon several weeks ago, proposed a deal that would see Danny Rose go the other way – #THFC want to move Rose (and Alderweireld for that matter) out – but couldn’t reach agreement and Sessegnon now won’t be leaving #FFC this transfer window
