Tottenham & Leicester stars among November Premier League POTM nominees

Leicester & Tottenham impress

Leicester’s 2019/20 campaign has been rather impressive under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers.

The Foxes played some particularly impressive football throughout the month of November.

Leicester played three Premier League matches during November, vs Crystal Palace, Arsenal and Brighton.

The former Premier League champions would emerge from each tie with a comprehensive 2-0 victory over their opponents.

As for Tottenham,  they played four league ties in November, drawing two when Mauricio Pochettino was at the helm, and winning the last two under Jose Mourinho.

PL POTM nominees

As both clubs enjoyed impressive Novembers, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to learn that they dominated the November Premier League Player of the Month nominations.

For Leicester, both Jamie Vardy and Caglar Soyuncu made it into the POTM nominations.

As mentioned above, Leicester didn’t concede a league goal in November, with Soyuncu playing a pivotal role in that.

As for Vardy, he scored three and assisted two in his three PL outings.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have both Dele Alli and Heung-min Son up for the award.

Son would earn four assists and score two in four PL ties this past month, while Alli netted three and assisted one.

The remaining three nominees were made up of Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, Wolves’ Raul Jimenez and Sheffield United’s Lys Mousset.
