Tottenham: Kieran Trippier reveals why he left & Paulo Dybala’s transfer saga with Man United

Why Kieran Trippier left Tottenham

Over the weekend, Atletico Madrid beat Real Madrid 7-3 in a pre-season friendly.

Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa scored four goals before being sent off.

At the other end of the pitch, England international Kieran Trippier featured for the Rojiblancos.

Trippier signed for Atletico a couple of weeks ago in a deal worth around 20 million pounds.

After the Real Madrid match, Trippier spoke about why he left Spurs this summer.

The right-back has suggested that the full story over his Tottenham exit has yet to come out. Trippier said:

It was time for me to change and move on.

I don’t necessarily mean that I needed to move on, but things happened behind the scenes at Spurs.

I needed to move on from that.

Paulo Dybala saga with Man United

Will Paulo Dybala join Tottenham this summer?

Alternatively, will the Argentine forward sign for Man United instead?

Rumours linking Dybala with an exit from Juventus have ramped up in recent days.

On Sunday, the front page of Corriere dello Sport has the following headlines:

Lukaku to Juve, the key is Dybala – The Belgian is closer to the Bianconeri – Paratici could snatch the striker top of Conte’s Inter wish-list – Response from the Argentine will be decisive: Manchester United working for a yes.

Tuttosport have a slightly different angle on Dybala, focusing on his price-tag:

Dybala? €100m – Battle between Juve and Inter for Lukaku becomes incandescent – Manchester United value him at €85m, the Bianconeri want €15m more to sell the Argentine – Marotta won’t let go, but Tottenham dive in too.

When it comes to the UK press, Sky Sports are reporting that Dybala is keen to stay at Juve and fight for his place in the team.
