Tottenham are reportedly in advanced talks with Middlesbrough as they look to make Djed Spence their third signing of the summer, following the additions of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

Antonio Conte is expected to make wholesale changes to the Tottenham side that he steered to Champions League football last season, and has already made the two aforementioned signings, both on free transfers.

And now, they are looking to add to their options at right wing-back, in the form of Spence, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and appeared 44 times as he helped them to promotion to the top flight for the first time since 1999.

As per transfer journalist Pete O'Rourke, the Lilywhites are now in 'advanced talks' for the English defender, looking at striking another deal early in the transfer window for a fee of around £20m.

Approach for McKennie expected

Meanwhile, Football.London report that Fabio Paratici is 'expected' to make a move for Juventus and USA midfielder Weston McKennie this summer as he looks to provide his manager with options in the middle of the park.

'Spurs' managing director of football had held talks with the players' representatives about a potential move in that [January] window but it was deemed too difficult with the Italian club unwilling to part company with him at that point', they report.

And now, they are looking to go back to Juventus to strengthen their side further following the successful January raid of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.
