Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Tottenham vs Leicester prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Leicester

Tottenham Hotspur have had a fair amount of luck in each of their last three matches but they could make it four wins on the spin against Leicester on Sunday.

Leicester have lost four of their last five in all competitions. Their recent 1-1 draw at Anfield will give them confidence that they can take something at Wembley.

Leicester have a particularly good away record in the league this season, winning five and drawing three of their 13 matches on the road.

Tottenham vs Leicester: Who will win?

Tottenham are 7/10 to win while Leicester are priced at 9/2. The draw is priced at 3/1, however Spurs are the only side in the Premier League yet to draw a match this season.

Leicester have netted at least once in each of their last five away matches in the league. Both teams to score is 3/4.

With nine goals in his last nine Premier League starts, Son Heung-min is a man in form. The South Korean has also scored against Leicester in the past. Son is 4/1 to open the scoring and 6/5 to score anytime.

Leicester lost 1-0 at home to Manchester United last weekend, extending their winless streak in all competitions to five matches. Recent form has seen the Foxes slip to 11th in the table.

A win on Sunday could potentially lift Claude Puel’s side up to eighth, depending on Saturday’s results.

Spurs begin the weekend five points behind Manchester City and Liverpool. With 13 matches to play, the Lillywhites are still technically in the title race.

Spurs are nine points above fifth place (before the weekend’s matches) and look to have secured Champions League football for next season at the very least.

Spurs beat Newcastle 1-0 last weekend thanks to a fortunate strike from Son Heung-min which Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka completely fluffed.

Spurs have been far from their best in their last five matches, requiring very late winners in three of them and losing the two others.

Spurs and Leicester have met 25 times in the Premier League, with each side winning on 10 occasions. Last season’s corresponding fixture witnessed nine goals as Spurs ran out 5-4 winners at Wembley.

Son Heung-min and Dele Alli were the scorers as Spurs won 2-0 in the reverse fixture at the King Power Stadium in December.
