Tottenham eyeing move for Bournemouth’s David Brooks

Brooks to Tottenham

Tottenham are said to be preparing a £50m summer move for Bournemouth’s David Brooks, according to the Mirror.

After the January 2019 window slammed shut Spurs have now gone two transfer windows without signing a senior player.

However, they did sell Mousa Dembele and are having some very bad luck with injuries.

Dele Alli and Harry Kane are both currently on the sidelines for Tottenham and Heung-Min Son has only recently returned from his international duties.

As a result, it is no surprise Tottenham are said to want to bring in Brooks this summer.

Brooks is an attacking midfielder who has spent much of the season playing on the right for the Cherries.

In 22 league games this campaign, Brooks has scored six and assisted four for Bournemouth.

Brooks would also score one and assist one as Bournemouth smashed Chelsea 4-0 on Wednesday.

Unfortunately, Brooks would suffer an injury that will keep him out for a few weeks.

Tottenham edge past Newcastle

Tottenham’s latest clash saw them take on Newcastle in Saturday’s early kick-off.

With Spurs missing two of their top players it is no surprise they struggled to break down a resilient Newcastle side.

The breakthrough would eventually come in the 83rd minute with Heung-Min Son giving Tottenham the lead.

Tottenham would then temporarily move into second place above Man City who hosted Arsenal on Sunday.
