Tottenham Hotspur have expressed a keen interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to L’Equipe via Sports Witness.
The 23-year-old is out of contract in the summer with the French champions and is unlikely to renew his deal.
Spurs, Juventus and FC Barcelona are on keen on Rabiot and could move for him in January.
Tottenham express keen interest in Rabiot
Despite the stopgap that is Moussa Sissoko, Tottenham still have a central-midfield issue on their hands.
With both Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele sidelined and Harry Winks continuing to struggle with injuries, this is an area the club need to address.
It is understood that the answer could be Rabiot with the midfielder set to depart Paris in the coming months.
He has fallen out with manager Thomas Tuchel and is showing no signs of renewing his contract in the French capital.
Now with Spurs intent on landing a midfielder, Rabiot could prove an attractive option for a good price.
The North London club have already expressed a keen interest and could indeed make their move during the winter window.
Rabiot’s wage demands causing an issue
It is understood that the player is demanding wages worth around 10m euros-per-year after tax.
To put these demands into context, Kopa Trophy recipient Kylian Mbappe is earning that with the Ligue 1 club.
PSG are unwilling to put Rabiot on such wages and it is also unlikely any clubs interested would be unwilling to match his demands either.
