Tottenham try to sign free agent Dani Alves
As reported by Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window podcast, Tottenham are trying to sign free agent Dani Alves.
Spurs have reportedly held talks with the 36-year-old Brazilian.
Duncan Castles has told Spurs fans the following:
I understand that there’s been contact with Tottenham Hotspur about the possibility of Dani moving there in what would seem quite a strange addition for Tottenham, given that this is a club that’s focused on younger players, players whose value will increase, players they can get on reasonably cheap salaries.

What Dani Alves wants
On Thursday, Brazilian outlet Globoesporte confirmed that Alves is heading to Europe to consider two transfer proposals.
Globoesporte failed to name which clubs have lodged these proposals.
Readers are nevertheless told that these clubs are “are part of the continent’s top echelon.”
The report also considered what’s important for Alves right now.
They believe that the Brazilian icon will only move to a “competitive league”, while Alves is also looking to agree a 2-year deal.
The length of the contract is key, as Alves has his sights set on being in the Brazil squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
