Tottenham 2 – Manchester United 0
It took Spurs 11 seconds to break the deadlock against Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho’s side didn’t touch the ball as Tottenham raced into a 1-0 lead at Wembley.
Tottenham attacked directly from kick-off.
A long ball was pumped upfield towards Harry Kane. Kane headed a flick-on to Dele Alli. Alli applied a backheel to Christian Eriksen, and the Dane scored past David De Gea.

Man United shot themselves in the foot as Tottenham doubled their lead. A cross from right-back Kieran Trippier was guided into his own net by Phil Jones.
The Red Devils never looked like coming back into the game as Spurs boosted their hopes of finishing in the top four.
Dele Alli vs Alexis Sanchez
Following his move from Arsenal to Man United, Alexis Sanchez made his first Premier League start for the Red Devils against Spurs.
Unlike his debut at Yeovil Town, Sanchez was far less effective against Spurs.
But it’s also true that the Chilean was on the receiving end of a kicking from Dele Alli.
Alli, known for being a hot-head, took out Sanchez with a cynical kick.
Alexis was thrown up in the air after a terrible foul from the Tottenham midfielder.
Alli was booked for his bad behaviour, which prompted Mauricio Pochettino to sub the England international for the final minutes of the match.
Should Alli have been sent off for his kick on Alexis Sanchez?
