As per a report from Sky Sports News, Spurs midfielder Victor Wanyama looks all set to join Belgian outfit Club Brugge.
28-year-old powerhouse Wanyama has been on the books of Tottenham since the summer of 2016, when he joined the capital giants from Premier League rivals Southampton.
After playing a key role for the club during his debut campaign in north London, though, the Kenyan international has since majorly struggled for game-time over the seasons since.
In fact, a combination of injury troubles and competition for places allowed Wanyama to rack up just 12 Premier League starts over the last two campaigns combined.
As such, speculation had begun to mount this summer that a departure from the English capital could be on the cards for Wanyama, especially after both Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso were added to the midfield ranks of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
And, as per the aforementioned report from Sky Sports News this evening, Wanyama’s Spurs departure now looks to be on the verge of completion.
The former Celtic man is set for a new adventure in Belgium, after Club Brugge agreed a £12 million fee with Daniel Levy and co., to coax Wanyama away from the Premier League before next Monday’s European transfer deadline:
BREAKING: Tottenham and Club Brugge have agreed fee of around £12m for Victor Wanyama, according to Sky sources.
