Some surprising data has emerged from EA SPORTS that reveal the Premier League’s most successful dribblers so far this season.
Despite Crystal Palace’s troubled start to the season there is certainly one player who is pulling his weight.
Surprisingly Andros Townsend tops a leader board of successful dribbles completed this season with 24.
This represents a total significantly higher than any of his closest rivals, such as Joshua King, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain who all sit second on 21, a massive 7 below Townsend.
Liverpool fans will be shocked to see that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has made it onto this list.
The dribbling stats also include the first few games of the season, when he was still at Arsenal.
With an injury to Sadio Mane, The Ox has suddenly become a lot more crucial to Liverpool.

Townsend’s percentage of successful dribbles is also strong with 80% of his attempted dribbles being successful.
Although across all players this represents the 17th highest % dribble success rate.
Leroy Fer leads the charge in this respect with 12 of his 13 attempted dribbles being successful, representing an impressive % dribble success rate of 92.3%.

Surely these dribbling statistics will change as the season goes on. The likes of Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez have barely played for Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.
Whilst Wilfried Zaha has also spent the season injured since Crystal Palace’s opening day defeat to Huddersfield.
