Toby Alderweireld

Good news for Toby Alderweireld & Danny Rose before Brighton

Brighton vs Tottenham

The Premier League is back in action on Tuesday night as Brighton host Tottenham.

Will Brighton win another game until the end of the season?

The Seagulls were beaten 3-2 at Crystal Palace last weekend in a result which has heightened fears that Chris Hughton’s men may go down.

After Spurs, Brighton face Burnley (a), Man United (h), Man City (a) and Liverpool (a).

As for Tottenham, Mauricio Pochettino’s side were beaten by Man City at Wembley last weekend.

Toby Alderweireld & Danny Rose

On Monday Tottenham have been received two pieces of news regarding defenders Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose.

Alderweireld was again left out of Tottenham squad against Man City.

That raised fears that Alderweireld’s Spurs career was done, as many have begun to believe the defender has been frozen out at the Lillywhites.

Danny Rose also missed the Man City game with injury.

Could Alderweireld and Rose both be in the Spurs XI at Brighton?

That’s possible after Monday’s updates. Pochettino has confirmed that Alderweireld is set to be in the squad against the Seagulls, while Rose is also making progress from injury.

Man United vs Tottenham

It’s also worth remembering that Tottenham take on Man United in the FA Cup semifinals next weekend.

Will Pochettino rotate his Spurs XI in midweek to keep his stars fresh for United?

And is that the reason why Alderweireld could make a rare appearance for Spurs this week?
