Thomas Tuchel and Sean Dyche have spoken out this evening, on the back of a heated exchange between the tacticians during Chelsea’s clash with Burnley.

Vydra cancels out Havertz

Tuchel’s men were of course back in action earlier today.

After getting the better of Malmo in the Champions League in midweek, the Blues turned their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, in a Premier League meeting with Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

Though the visitors managed to get a first 3-point haul of the season on the board last time out, Chelsea, sitting pretty atop the English top-flight, were nevertheless viewed as overwhelming favourites to emerge triumphant ahead of kick-off.

In turn, it came as a major surprise when, upon the final whistle sounding in west London, the European champions were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

A hard-fought 90 minutes saw Tuchel and co. take the lead just beyond the half-hour mark, when Kai Havertz directed home Reece James’ pinpoint delivery from the right:

Burnley, though, managed to keep themselves in contention deep into the 2nd-half, before bagging what proved to be a decisive equaliser courtesy of Matej Vydra’s close-range finish ten minutes from time.

‘Will not talk’

Amid an altogether tense atmosphere at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, meanwhile, at one point, things came close to boiling over on the touchline.

After a first-half challenge in the middle of the park left a member of his side grounded, Thomas Tuchel showcased little hesitation in making his frustrations with counterpart Sean Dyche crystal clear.

A heated back-and-forth ensued between the tacticians, before the former made his way back to the hosts’ bench, looking less than impressed.

In turn, on the back of the full-time whistle in the capital this afternoon, it came as little surprise when both Burnley and Chelsea’s managers were drawn on what exactly was said during their in-game row.
