Thomas Tuchel responds to Chelsea fans' Abramovich chants during show of support for Ukraine

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has, on Saturday evening, spoken out over the disrespectful chants which echoed across the club's fanbase ahead of their meeting with Burnley.

For those not aware, the moment in question was forthcoming in the lead-up to kick-off at Turf Moor this afternoon.

This came as both sets of supporters in attendance in Lancashire rose to their feet, to play their part in a rousing round of applause in support of Ukraine amid the country's ongoing battle against a Russian invasion.

Sections of the away crowd, however, felt that the moment was right to send their own message of support, to none other than soon-to-be former Blues owner Roman Abramovich:

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at Turf Moor, Thomas Tuchel, in turn, was unsurprisingly drawn on the actions of the Chelsea fanbase pre-match.

And the German went on to plead with his side's supporters to refrain from 'other messages', calling for all to fully commit to the Premier League's support for Ukraine:

Questionable actions on the part of the club's fans aside, it of course proved a fine afternoon all told for Chelsea on Saturday.

This comes with the Pensioners having finally rediscovered their goalscoring touch, running riot en route to an eventual 4-0 triumph over Burnley.

After a goalless first-half, all of Reece James, Kai Havertz (2) and Christian Pulisic went on to find the net over the course of the 2nd 45, solidifying Chelsea's position in 3rd in the Premier League table in the process.
