Bayern Munich may have gotten in Jupp Heynckes for the remainder of the season but their long-term choice still remains a mystery.
Heynckes was brought in on the basis that he would steady the ship until the end of the season after Carlo Ancelotti’s sacking.
The Italian was given his marching orders after a 3-0 thrashing by Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League group stage.
That lead to Jupp Heynckes being introduced as the interim manager after reported talks with Thomas Tuchel.
Now, the former Borussia Dortmund boss could have dropped a hint on social media on his own future and Bayern Munich.
The German posted a picture of the pair of managers with the caption ‘I wish you all the best, dear Jupp’ with the hashtag ‘legend’.
Whether this is him conceding defeat in not becoming Bayern manager or whether he simply has eyes for the job at the end of the season is yet to be seen.
Though, the timing and simply the fact he posted it has got Bayern Munich fans excited at the possibility.
Even still, the German giants are in good hands for now after Jupp’s appointment.

In the meantime
While Bayern may or may not be planning to bring in Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season, there is still plenty to do this season.
Bayern will not want to just stand still and write off another season in which the club only wins the Bundesliga.
Instead, the club will be looking to Heynckes to bring back the glory days after he won a treble with the club in 2013.
