Thomas Frank responds to rumours linking him to Arsenal & Manchester United

Arsenal & Man United’s struggles

It is fair to say that Arsenal and Manchester United have declined in recent years.

The two Premier League outfits once dominated the English game, but have since fallen down the pecking order as the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea continue to rise.

Both Man United and Arsenal have had pretty torrid times of late. Arsenal endured an awful opening to the campaign under Mikel Arteta and though they have improved in recent weeks, it is worth remembering that the Gunners have finished 8th in the last two Premier League campaigns.

Man United fans, meanwhile, have seemingly had enough of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and would get ‘OleOutNow’ trending earlier this month.

The Norwegian has been more than sufficiently backed throughout his stint in the Old Trafford dugout.

And whilst United still do need a defensive midfielder, if Solskjaer once again fails to win anything this term, it is really hard to see him keeping his job given the amount of money that has been invested in the squad during his stay.

Thomas Frank speaks on Man United & Arsenal rumours

One of the names seemingly touted to replace both Arteta and Solskjaer looks to have been Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

The Dane has his side playing some eye-catching, attacking football, whilst also getting results on a fairly limited budget.

And now, Frank has spoken out on rumours of interest in him from Arsenal and Man United.

Speaking to Bold as cited by Sport Witness, the Brentford boss stated:

“So, I understand that well, but… Arsenal and United. Wasn’t that how it was? I think I read that at some point. It’s very nice, but one thing is rumours, and the other is if they really wanted to contact me. Then we have to take it from there.”
