Thierry Henry has noted that he thinks the sooner Harry Kane is back and playing for Tottenham Hotspur the better.
The former Arsenal striker lavished praise on the forward, and noted that the injury to him was certainly a worry, and that he wants to make sure that football fans have the best players on show – and Kane is one of those, meaning that even if he manages to lead Spurs to the top four and victory over Chelsea, Henry wants to see him fit and playing.
“Listen, the guy is just phenomenal, a phenomenon,” Henry said of Harry Kane on Sky Sports.
“I just hope that he can play, and that’s me saying that as an Arsenal man.
“You want to see the best players on the field, perform, and play well.
“When he went down, I think it was against Bournemouth, I was worried because I’m a football man.
“You don’t want a great football player missing anything.
“I’m happy he is fit and hopefully he can play for Tottenham today.”
Not only do Spurs have a fight for the top four on their hands, with the game against Chelsea vital to their hopes, but on a personal note, Harry Kane will want to finish ahead of Mo Salah in the goal scoring charts, and needs to be back as soon as possible to do that, with Salah adding another goal to his tally this weekend.
The player is currently on fire, and Liverpool’s best hope of beating Manchester City in the Champions League – and Kane will want to be back in time for the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.
