Arsenal are set to hold talks with club legend Thierry Henry over the vacant managerial position after Arsene Wenger left the club.
The Frenchman is currently number two to Roberto Martinez in the Belgian national team setup.
That was his first step into the world of management and it looks as though he could be set to make his second step.
That is because Sky Sports have revealed that Arsenal are looking to speak to the Frenchman over the vacant managerial position.
While it was rumoured that the former forward could come into the club as an assistant or as a coach, Sky seem to suggest it is more than that.
While Arsenal want to talk to Thierry Henry, it still looks as though they have settled on the man that they want.
That is because Sky also report that Mikel Arteta is the leading candidate for the job.
Talks with Arteta were held on Thursday and it is expected that more talks will take place.
Though, Sky Sports specify that the club are looking to talk to several candidates before making their decision.
Kaveh Solhekol has also revealed that the Arsenal executives will be speaking today about who they feel the manager should be next season.
Safe to say, it won’t be a decision that is taken lightly and all precautions will be taken before announcing their new boss.
Though, it certainly looks as though it will be Mikel Arteta at this stage.
