Soon to be sacked?
Monaco boss Thierry Henry has announced that he’s ‘banished’ several first-team stars “who are only thinking about their own futures” to the reserves.
The former Belgium assistant boss has one hell of a job on his hands.
Henry left his post to join Monaco midway through their season as they faced relegation from Ligue 1.
Despite winning the title just two years ago, the club have fallen from grace since.
Leonardo Jardim was sacked by the club due to their dire situation and Henry has fared no better since coming in.
Now, he’s taken possibly the most drastic decision in hope of turning around Monaco’s fortunes.
Only thinking of themselves
According to GFFN, Henry has announced that he’s banished ‘too many to name’ from the first-team.
These players, according to Henry himself, are “players who are only thinking about their own futures”.
Due to Henry’s vague statement, there is no way to be sure right now who those players are.
It is also unsure whether this will have the desired effect at Monaco.

Speaking after the defeat to Metz, Henry suggested he could cull his squad.
‘We will create a small group to go on a mission,’ he explained, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
‘With players who have the ‘fibre’ of the club. We will tighten all that.
‘We must go and stop talking. The future of the players and the club goes through Ligue 1. It is necessary to get out of this critical situation and quickly.’
