Thierry Henry previews 2016/2017

Arsenal’s all-time record goal scorer Thierry Henry was not a happy man after the 4-3 home defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

Henry laid into Arsene Wenger and wondered, like many Gooners, why Arsenal are struggling to sign players when they appeared to improve their financial situation by moving to the Emirates 10 years ago.

Henry has also given a lengthy interview to The Football Republic, where he has previewed the 2016/2017 Premier League season.

“When Vardy turned down Arsenal, I was like…really?!”

After discussing Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, who he feels will win the Premier League, Henry moves onto Arsenal and their lack of transfers so far.

Henry is still in shock that Arsenal were turned down by Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

And, goes on to suggest that Arsenal don’t necessarily need a striker since they should play Alexis Sanchez in a more central role and this will allow the Chilean to play off Olivier Giroud.
