Transfer window is fully underway
Monaco boss Thierry Henry is looking to close deals for Chelsea and Crystal Palace stars this week as he attempts to turn around their fortunes.
The French giants have had one of the strangest seasons you could imagine.
They only won Ligue 1 in the 2016/17 season and impressed in the Champions League.
Though, their success actually ended up being a burden as several of their players attracted interest from other clubs.
Star man Kylian Mbappe left for Paris Saint-Germain, Benjamin Mendy & Bernardo Silva for Man City and Tiémoué Bakayoko to Chelsea.
Despite losing a good chunk of their talented squad, they finished second in the following season.
However, this season they have been embroiled in a relegation battle.
They are currently sat in 19th and sacked manager Leonardo Jardim a couple of months back.
Now, their latest manager Thierry Henry is looking to add to his squad this window in hope of beating the drop.
Crystal Palace & Chelsea stars on their list
The former is looking to leave Chelsea after finding minutes on the pitch hard to come by under Maurizio Sarri.
Henry is also said to be keen on Sakho as he looks to add an experienced defender to his squad.
Now L’Equipe are claiming that Monaco hope to complete a deal for Fabregas and a defender this week.
‘In addition to the Cesc Fabregas record, the Monegasques hope to complete the arrival of an experienced defender before the end of the week.’
Whether that defender is Sakho is yet to be seen, but Palace may have to brace themselves for a bid.
