The latest on Pogba & McTominay ahead of Man United vs Spurs/Martial injury fears emerge
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this afternoon provided a fitness update on his squad, ahead of their meeting with Tottenham.
United host Spurs
The Red Devils are set to welcome Spurs to Old Trafford tomorrow night, for a high-profile Premier League showdown.
The hosts will head into proceedings in search of an immediate bounce-back performance.
This comes amid a 3-match winless streak across all competitions for United.
The latest of these came this past weekend, when Solskjaer’s men stuttered to a 2-2 draw at home to Aston Villa.
After overturning an early deficit courtesy of a Tom Heaton own goal and Victor Lindelof header, Tyrone Mings’ strike 25 minutes from time eventually saw shares spoiled between the sides.
Pogba ruled out
As such, as things stand, Manchester United sit in a lowly 9th in the Premier League table, 8 points adrift of the top-4.
And the Manchester giants’ hopes of getting things back on track tomorrow night will not be aided by the return of Paul Pogba.
Speaking this afternoon, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provided an update on the fitness of his star midfielder, confirming that Pogba is not yet ready to return to action:
No. Paul’s not ready, no
So, he’s still a bit away, but he’s working hard, so let’s see.
He’s out [training] on the grass, so let’s see how long it will take.

Fellow midfielders Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic, who have also spent time on the sidelines of late, though, could feature versus Spurs:
“[Scott and Nemanja] are touch-and-go, so let’s get this [today’s] training session out of the way. We’ve got more games than this one, so I can’t just look at one game. We’ve got to look at the long term.”
Finally, as per reliable injury expert Ben Dinnery, there are fears that Anthony Martial may have picked up an injury versus Aston Villa on Sunday, putting the Frenchman in doubt for tomorrow night:
No mention of names from OGS, but there was a suggestion on Sunday that Martial was one of those players who had picked up a knock. #MUFC #COYS https://t.co/QQKKhpLKSA
