PSG vs Man City
Manchester City would of course make it to their first-ever Champions League final last season, before eventually losing out to Chelsea.
The Citizens are set to get at least one more shot at European glory under Pep Guardiola this campaign, though, and have been drawn in a fairly tough group.
The Manchester powerhouse began their latest Champions League adventure versus RB Leipzig on the 15th of September.
And they would come out on top in that game, playing out a simply staggering nine-goal thriller, which the Sky Blues won 6-3.
Now, City need to turn their attentions towards their 2nd European outing of the season.
Pep Guardiola and co. are set to face off with PSG at the Parc des Princes this coming Tuesday, in what is, on paper, Man City’s toughest test of the 2021/22 group stage.
The latest on Lionel Messi
Ahead of the game, Man City have already been handed one boost in the form of Angel Di Maria being suspended.
And Tuesday’s visitors appeared to have been afforded yet another boost earlier in the week, when Lionel Messi was ruled out of PSG’s meeting with FC Metz with a bone bruise.
The same issue also kept him out of the club’s win over Montpellier on Saturday, with his involvement vs City in a few days, in turn, having been viewed as up in the air.
However, Spanish outlet AS have reported on Sunday that Messi could yet be fit to face his former boss, after training with the rest of his teammates earlier today.
