Kristof Terreur on why Hazard isn’t in Real Madrid’s squad to face Mallorca

Mallorca vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid are set to take on Mallorca on Saturday evening.

Los Blancos start the day at the top of the La Liga table.

While Zinedine Zidane’s side have not had the best start to the Champions League this campaign, failing to win either of their opening two ties, it does look as though they could be challenging for the league this season.

As of writing, it is Granada who are Real’s closest competitors in La Liga, sitting one point behind them in the table. However, Granada have played one more game than Madrid.

As for Mallorca, they are all the way down in 18th spot, with just seven points.

Why Hazard missed out

Ahead of this evening’s clash, Real Madrid released their squad to face Mallorca on Saturday morning.

Zinedine Zidane would already explain on Friday that Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vazquez would not be traveling for the Mallorca clash:

“ModricBaleKroos and Lucas Vázquez won’t travel with us. There are always problems in this regard and it’s tough for a coach. But we’ll have others available and we’ll try and do a good job tomorrow.” As quoted by Real Madrid’s official website.

One player who was left out of the squad without an explanation, though, was Eden Hazard.

However, HLN journalist Kristof Terreur has since shed some light on the situation, claiming that Hazard was omitted from the Real squad due to the birth of his son.
