Mohamed Salah has handed Liverpool the lead on the South coast this afternoon, however, the Egyptian appeared to be offside.
Supporters have taken to Twitter to express their frustration towards the linesman’s decision not to award the offside.
A win for the Reds over AFC Bournemouth would move them top of the Premier League ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Chelsea.
Should Salah’s goal vs Bournemouth have stood?

Despite being positioned perfectly, linesman Eddie Smart failed to spot Salah being in an offside position.
Roberto Firmino’s shot was parried into the path of the forward who dispatched past Asmir Begovic.
However, replays show that Salah was behind the Cherries’ back-line before the Brazilian taken the shot.
Opposition supporters are unhappy and have taken to social media to share their criticism of the officials.
Fans fume over Mohamed Salah’s offside goal vs Bournemouth
Can’t wait for VAR. You always see bad decisions against the ‘small’ clubs. Salah’s offside goal will ruin this game and it doesn’t do Bournemouth any justice at all. #neutralfan

Salah offside but of course the linesman won’t call it. Awful yet again VAR we need you.

How is it a tough one for the linesman?
He’s stood in line with Salah, he can see he’s offside.
Shut up, Alan.

That linesman had a PERFECT view of Salah being offside. Either corrupt or inept. Or maybe both. But something needs to be done.
I’m not a massive advocate for VAR but it’s times like this that it’s sorely needed.
