Stunning development in Jack Wilshere saga sees betting odds plunge

Jack Wilshere is odds on to leave Arsenal, with Ladbrokes slashing their odds on him leaving the club – and joining a London rival.

Wilshere had been looking for assurances he would be one of the key players under new manager Unai Emery, yet it seems the midfielder hasn’t impressed his new boss enough – and will be shown the door this summer.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “He might be Mr Arsenal but there’s a new man in town in the shape of Emery, who looks set to send Jack packing this summer.”

Unai Emery isn’t taking any prisoners as he settles into life at Arsenal and it seems that he won’t be keeping players who he thinks can’t add to the side – meaning the likes of Wilshere will be shown the door.

It’s unclear if Emery wants to keep Wilshere as a back-up option, yet the player himself is determined to play first team football – and has been deeply hurt by his omission from the England squad going to the World Cup in Russia this summer, and knows the only way to force his way into the squad in the future is to stay fit and be playing week in, week out for his club.

Wilshere is set to leave Arsenal on a free, after coming to the end of his contract, and it seems that West Ham are leading the pack to sign him, with the English man also linked with a move abroad should he leave the Emirates.
