Steven Gerrard, Rangers & Manchester United
Alex Miller has given an attention-grabbing quote to BBC Scotland over the weekend.
It’s been suggested the Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard could be tempted to leave Rangers to become the Man United manager.
Miller knows Gerrard from Anfield. Gerrard was the Liverpool captain when Miller worked as an assistant coach for Liverpool.
Moreover, Alex Miller played for Rangers during his playing career.
Miller has now made the following statement:
Rangers will mount a challenge to Celtic. And if you make a go of the Rangers job, why would you leave?
It would need to be Liverpool, Manchester United, or Arsenal.
Liverpool fans react on social media
Even though Alex Miller was only making a speculative comment, it’s not taken long for the claim that Gerrard could agree to join Man United to get around.
Of course, Liverpool and Man United are eternal enemies on the pitch.
Were Gerrard to ever become Man United’s manager, the Liverpool legend would surely face a backlash from Reds supporters.
For the record, Gerrard has been appointed as Rangers manager on a four-year deal.
Here’s how the quotes have gone down this Sunday.

‘Gerrard to Man United’ is practically oxymoronic. Don’t be fucking ridiculous. https://t.co/OYe9I3JlAf

Yeah … his managerial CV is second to none ….

More chance of us approaching Nicola Sturgeon to manage the club than Gerrard.
