Raheem Sterling out, Marcus Rashford in: England XI ‘leaked’ before Panama

England vs Panama

England started their 2018 World Cup campaign with a 2-1 win over Tunisia.

Captain Harry Kane was the hero scoring a brace against the north Africans.

Gareth Southgate is now preparing the squad for Panama on Sunday, while it seems certain that that side will have a few rotations.

Dele Alli & Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Tottenham’s Dele Alli picked up a thigh injury in the Tunisia game.

Should Southgate have taken Alli off early in the match?

Alli is major doubt to be fit for Panama, while some are fearing he’ll also miss the Belgium game too.

Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek replaced Alli in game one, and RLC is set to start against Panama.

The Mirror have today published a picture from Gareth Southgate’s notepad at England training.

Should the Mirror have leaked the photo? Are they actually helping Panama with its release?

Most of the positions in the starting XI are easily identifiable on the paper.

The standout piece of information is that Man City’s Raheem Sterling is out of the XI, while Man United’s Marcus Rashford is in.

Rashford replaced Sterling during the Tunisia game.

The Man United striker picked up a knock in the build up to the World Cup.

The only position completely blanked out on Gareth Southgate’s paper is the leftwing-back slot.

Man United’s Ashley Young started ahead of Tottenham’s Danny Rose in the opener.

Otherwise, the England XI against Panama would appear to be as follows:

Panama lost their opener 3-0 to Belgium.

After a goalless first half, Dries Mertens opened before Romelu Lukaku chipped in with two goals.
