Keita Balde & Lazio
On Sunday in Italy, Lazio take on Juventus in the Italian Super Cup.
Ahead of the match, news has broken on Saturday night that Lazio’s Keita Balde will play no part in the game.
That’s of interest to Tottenham and West Ham, as both London clubs have been linked with the Serie A star in recent days
Officially, Keita is missing due to a muscular issue. But it’s well known that Keita has put in a transfer request this summer.

What’s the story?
Last week, a new (old) rumour has emerged, linking Tottenham with Lazio’s Keita Balde.
Darren Lewis revealed in the Daily Mirror: “Spurs [are] set to revive their interest in Lazio forward Keita Balde. The 22-year-old has just a year left on his contract and has so far refused to sign a new deal.”
Lewis adds: “Balde netted 16 times last season including eight goals in his final six games of the campaign. Juventus lead the chase for his services but Balde is understood to be interested in a move to the Premier League.”
A 22-year-old versatile attacker, Keita Balde has pace to burn and enjoyed his best season yet in Serie A in 2016/2017.
Balde claimed 16 goals in 31 appearances and certainly fits the bill for Tottenham, as a young attacker with realistic claims of improving Mauricio Pochettino’s first team.
The West Ham angle
Earlier in the summer, reports were doing the rounds that West Ham have had a €32 million bid accepted by Lazio for Keita Balde.
It was claimed that West Ham could offer the players wages of €3m per season – around five or six times his current pay packet.
Aside from the Hammers and Spurs, Juventus have also been linked with Balde.
