Peter Crouch

Spurs & Liverpool old boy Peter Crouch is finally in the Guinness World Records

Peter Crouch & Stoke

Is this set to be Peter Crouch’s final season in the Premier League?

Now 36, Stoke striker Crouch is out of contract at the end of the season.

But will Stoke offer him a new deal? That’s possible, as the beanpole centre-forward has shown he can still find the back of the net this season.

This season Crouch has already scored three goals in seven matches for Stoke in all competitions.

Crouch has also scored important goals in the EPL. He needed a leveller in a 1-1 draw away at West Brom, while he scored Stoke’s winner against Southampton last time out.

Spurs & Liverpool

Of course, before he joined Stoke, Crouch had been playing for the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool in the English top flight.

He scored 24 goals in all competitions for Tottenham, while his most memorable Spurs goal fired the club back into the Champions League.

As for Liverpool, Crouch bagged 42 goals for the Reds in all competitions during his stint at Anfield.

Guinness World Records

Peter Crouch has now been entered into the Guinness World Records.

He’s been included in the 2018 annual for his record-breaking tally of 51 headed goals in the Premier League.

Speaking on Stoke’s official website, Crouch has celebrated his achievement:

It feels good! To hold any record, certainly in the Premier League, is great. I’m very proud of it” said Crouch, who at 36 years and two days became the oldest man to reach 100 Premier League goals earlier this year.

I see centre forwards hanging around outside the box and it blows my mind, I just can’t get my head around it,” he says of the modern day forward.

I believe, if you are a centre forward, you should be in the box, ready for the ball. That’s the way I have always played my game and that will never change.
