Spurs fans will have to wait to watch Gareth Bale in action as medical reveals injury

The Tottenham faithful are unlikely to see Gareth Bale line out in the club’s colours once again until next month at the earliest, it has been revealed.

Bale en route

Ongoings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have of course taken centre stage in the media this week.

This comes with the Lilywhites closing in on a pair of major reinforcements.

The first comes in the form of Sergio Reguilon, who’s permanent arrival from Spanish giants Real Madrid is expected to be announced any day now.

Following Reguilon to north London, meanwhile, will be Los Blancos teammate Gareth Bale.

On the back of another injury-ravaged campaign in Madrid, during which he managed just 12 La Liga starts, Zinedine Zidane and co. have sanctioned a loan departure for the one-time most expensive player in football history.

And, despite long-standing links with Manchester United, Bale is now all set for a Spurs return, after the Lilywhites agreed to split the Welshman’s massive wage packet with his current employers over the course of the season ahead.

Bale sidelined

As such, understandably, widespread excitement has begun to spread amongst the Tottenham faithful.

Whilst Reguilon will no doubt prove the more telling signing in the long-term, there is an air of romanticism surrounding Bale’s return, with the 31-year-old maintaining a special place in the hearts of Spurs fans the world over.

As outlined above, however, if the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is to be believed, then those very supporters look set to be made to wait to catch a glimpse of their one-time star man donning the club’s colours once more.

This comes amid widespread claims that Bale’s medical in north London revealed that the attacker is injured.

In news first reported by Spanish outlet Marca, and since backed by the English press, Bale is carrying a knee problem, picked up during his recent time spent with the Welsh national team.

He is therefore not expected to to be available for selection to Jose Mourinho until October, with Marca having hinted at a spell of around 4 weeks on the sidelines:
