Spurs agree to sell talented midfielder to German club

German journey

Tottenham have agreed to sell midfielder Nabil Bentaleb to German giants Schalke permanently having been on loan at the club.

The Algerian international has impressed in Germany and the fee for the permanent deal is said to surprise fans.

According to reports last week, the fee for the deal will be in the region of £16m.

At the young age of 21, Bentaleb has played 19 games for the Bundesliga club leading to a clause which enabled them to buy him early.

Bentaleb featured heavily for the club when Tim Sherwood was in charge but fell down the pecking order.

Nabil had not featured in a Premier League game since August 2015, with Mauricio Pochettino not planning to use the midfielder.

One worrying weakness for Dele

Recent statistics have revealed that Tottenham star Dele Alli has one flaw in his game.

The Englishman has impressed with his scoring record and has been a constant performer for the Londoners.

But, the youngster has not completed a cross in his last 14 attempts.

With his new wide role, this could be pretty detrimental to his game and is his only flaw in an almost perfect skill set.
