Southampton vs Tottenham 101 Great Goals prediction: Southampton 0-2 Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur return from their European trip to Dortmund with a place in the Champions League quarter-finals secured but their place in the top four under threat.

Mauricio Pochettino will be absent from the touchline on Saturday with his side attempting to regain form in the league.

Down the other end of the table, Southampton continue to battle for survival.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are also undergoing a poor run of form having lost three of their last four fixtures.

Premier League preview: Southampton vs Tottenham

Southampton have secured just five points from their last six games with their Premier League status under threat.

Despite their poor form, the St Mary’s remain faithful in Hasenhuttl, with his side producing several spirited performances.

The south coast club almost took a huge scalp at Old Trafford last weekend with Manchester United winning late on.

With top scorer Danny Ings remaining sidelined, there is a desperate need for Charlie Austin to end his run of eight games without a goal.

Tottenham’s top four race

Having taken just one point from their last three games, Tottenham have been pulled back into the race for the top four.

Defeats to Burnley and Chelsea, and a draw with Arsenal, means just four points separate them from fifth.

However, confidence in the camp will have been restored after Spurs booked their place in the last eight of the Champions League.

Tottenham became the first side to beat Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion this season.

Pochettino will now be hoping his side can recapture form in the Premier League as he prepares to watch from the stands on the weekend.

The north London club have so far been joined by AFC Ajax, Manchester United and Porto, in the hat for the next round after their shock win over Real Madrid.
