Southampton triggered Trent Alexander-Arnold deal

Trent Alexander-Arnold pay rise after Southampton

It’s been a few excellent weeks for Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In recent weeks Alexander-Arnold has starred against Man City in the Champions League.

While last weekend in the Premier League win over Bournemouth at Anfield, TAA was one of the Liverpool’s standout performers once again.

On Tuesday the Times have revealed that Alexander-Arnold actually received a pay-hike following the match against Southampton. Readers are told:

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s impressive progress at Liverpool has been rewarded after he triggered a lucrative pay rise.

Appearance-related clauses were linked to pay rises and it is understood that the latest one was reached when he played his 30th senior game in the 2-0 victory over Southampton in February. He now earns about £40,000 a week.

Will Alexander-Arnold force his way onto the plane for the World Cup this summer?

2018-19: Liverpool are second favourites

The 2017-18 Premier League title race is over.

Man City were crowned the champions on Sunday in slightly underwhelming circumstances, as West Brom won 1-0 at Man United.

But will Man City retain their Premier League title next season?

Interestingly, Liverpool have been priced as second favourites to win the 2018-19 Premier League.

The Reds are 9/2 to win the league next season.

Liverpool are gearing up for a brilliant end to the season having advanced to the semifinals of the Champions League.

Many have argued that Liverpool have played the best attacking football in England this season.

If Mo Salah can reproduce his current form next season, will Liverpool finally end their 30+ year wait for the title?

It’s also worth remembering that Naby Keita will be a Liverpool player next season having already agreed his transfer from RB Leipzig.
