Southampton have been dealt a big injury blow before their clash with Manchester United.
The Saints reached the Carabao Cup third round on Tuesday evening after seeing off Fulham 1-0.
However, Nathan Redmond suffered a nasty ankle injury which could rule him out of the weekend’s game.

Redmond was forced to leave Craven Cottage on crutches and in an ankle boot.
He landed awkwardly on his ankle and following a long delay, he was assisted off the pitch by two physios.
The 25-year-old was in a lot of pain and there are now concerns over his availability on Saturday.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has admitted that Redmond may be unable to face the Red Devils.
Currently, it is unclear whether he will be ready, but it “does not look good”, according to the manager.
“Yeah, he has a problem with his ankle. It is not that swollen which is good.
“It doesn’t look good, but we don’t know more at the moment.
Asked whether Redmond will be able to face United, he responded:
“Yes, can be (that he will miss the game due to the injury), but I don’t know.”
