Southampton vs Chelsea
Will it be a trophy-less season for Chelsea?
The Blues are still reeling from last weekend’s 1-1 draw at home against West Ham.
After dropping three points in the home defeat to Tottenham, Chelsea dropped a further two points against the Hammers as the Blues’ Champions League hopes go up in smoke.
This weekend Chelsea return to FA Cup action as they take on Southampton at Wembley in the semifinals.

The Antonio Conte termination plan
On Monday rumours spread on social media that Antonio Conte had been fired by Chelsea.
Those rumours have been proven to be falsehoods, but it’s easy to understand why so many believed them.
Conte has been viewed as a dead-man-walking at Stamford Bridge for some time. Few believe the Italian will be in charge of Chelsea come the start of next season.
On Tuesday the Times have an update on how Conte could leave Chelsea. Readers are told:
Chelsea do not plan to terminate the contract of Antonio Conte before the end of the season despite a stuttering finish to the campaign that has left them with only the FA Cup to play for.
The club’s hope that the Italian may be offered a job to save them having to pay him compensation.
Where could Conte go next?
That’s becoming cloudier by the day, especially after reports from Germany on Monday announced that Thomas Tuchel’s PSG contract has been signed.
Azpilicueta: FA Cup not enough
Cesar Azpilicueta has confirmed that while Chelsea are trying to win the FA Cup, lifting the trophy won’t make their season a success:
“We are further away than ever,” César Azpilicueta, the Chelsea defender, said. “The FA Cup is a massive trophy with a lot of history but it’s not enough for us. We will try to win it but the cup will not save our season.”
