Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl confirms Danny Ings could be out for 4-6 weeks
Southampton vs Newcastle United
This week’s Premier League action kicks off on Friday the 6th of November, when Southampton play host to Newcastle United.
The Saints head into the tie on the back of a fine run of form.
Since falling to defeat in their opening two league games of the campaign, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have since gone unbeaten in their last 5.
Four of these results came in the form of wins, with the one draw an entertaining 3-3 affair vs Chelsea.
Such an impressive start to the season has seen Southampton shoot up to 5th in the English top-flight table.
As for Newcastle, they are currently 11th in the Premier League, after winning three, drawing two and losing two.

Hasenhuttl provides Danny Ings update ahead of Newcastle tie
Ralph Hasenhuttl held his pre-Newcastle press conference on Wednesday.
The Austrian discussed a number of topics during the presser, one of which surrounded Danny Ings.
Ings carried his superb 2019/20 form into the current season, and has already scored five and assisted two in the league.
However, the English international was forced off with a knee problem during Southampton’s latest outing last weekend.
Following his side’s win over Aston Villa, Hasenhuttl expressed his concern over the injury, confirming that it ‘didn’t look good’.
And, on Wednesday, the latest update on the situation wasn’t much more positive, with the Southampton boss having revealed that Ings looks set for around 4 to 6 weeks on the sidelines:
“At the moment it looks like he is out for 4-6 weeks. He’ll have a small surgery tomorrow morning. It could be worse, but he’ll be out and it’s not good news for us.”
