Real Madrid sign Jose Antonio Reyes Lopez
Less than a month after the tragic death of his father, Jose Antonio Reyes, Real Madrid have signed the former Arsenal star’s son.
Jose Antonio Reyes Lopez confirmed that he’s joined Real Madrid on Instagram this weekend.
Reyes Lopez uploaded images on social media wearing a Real Madrid kit, and signing a contract with Los Blancos.
The youngster, who is set to play with the Real Madrid Infantil B team next season, also wrote the following message:
I’m very happy and proud to start this new chapter at Real Madrid.
Thank you to everyone that has supported and had confidence in me, especially my family.
I will keep enjoying, working and learning with humility!
As confirmed in Marca, Real Madrid’s deal to sign Reyes Lopez was completed before his father’s death.

Cesc Fabregas celebrates the transfer
A former team-mate of his dad at Arsenal, Cesc Fabregas has reacted to Reyes Lopez’s move to Real Madrid.
Offering advice ahead of his switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, Cesc wrote:

Jose Antonio Reyes died in car accident
The sad news was confirmed at the start of the month.
Aged just 35, former Arsenal winger José Antonio Reyes died on Saturday, June 1st in Spain.
During his career, Reyes won five Europa League titles and was part of Arsenal’s unbeaten “Invincibles” squad in their triumphant 2003-04 Premier League season.
Reyes also played for Sevilla, Real and Atletico Madrid over the course of his career.
