Solskjaer urges Man United to build on home Leeds win ahead of Old Trafford fixture pile-up

Man United vs Wolves

Tuesday’s late Premier League kick-off will see Manchester United play host to Wolves.

The Red Devils head into the tie in fine form, unbeaten in their last five league outings.

In turn, should they win again later today, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men could move as high as 2nd in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of Liverpool.

As for Wolves, they have actually struggled of late, in the absence of Raul Jimenez. Nuno Santo’s men began the day down in 11th spot, having won just one in five.

Solskjaer hoping to build on Leeds win

As such, on paper at least, a Man United win this evening looks quite likely.

It is worth noting, though, that before putting six past Leeds in their last league outing, the Reds’ home form this season had been pretty dire.

Regardless, Solskjaer’s men are now set to embark on a stretch of 4 home fixtures in a row, vs Wolves, Manchester City (if the tie goes ahead), Aston Villa and Watford.

In turn, the United boss today urged his side to build on their drubbing of Leeds:

“I think the last game we played at Old Trafford was a very positive one.

“We have to build on that performance and the way we attacked and the way we went about the game. We’ve been doing well away from home, but now there’s no travel and more time to recover between the games and it’s fresh this morning [Monday] so we should be ready.”
