Solskjaer provides injury updates on McTominay & Maguire after Partizan

Man United dominate Partizan

Manchester United played host to Partizan Belgrade on Thursday evening, as they looked to secure their place in the Europa League knock-out stages.

United would do exactly that, dominating the Serbian outfit.

A deadly attacking trio of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all linked up well to put on an emphatic display.

Greenwood opened the scoring 22 minutes into the clash, Martial bagged United’s second of the evening 11 minutes later, and Rashford killed the game off just four minutes after the interval.

Maguire & McTominay updates

While United are now through to the knock-out rounds with two games to spare, they did suffer two injury concerns on Thursday.

Scott McTominay had to be withdrawn in the 75th minute after picking up a knock, with Harry Maguire also having appeared to be struggling with something during the second 45.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has since provided an update on the aforementioned duo.

The Man United boss stated that he thinks that Maguire will be okay, but McTominay is more of a concern:

“I think Harry will be okay.  He finished the game anyway.

”Scott is more of a concern, so let’s see how he recovers in the next few days.

“He said he was going to be okay out on the pitch and he said ‘I’ll be fine’. He’s tough, but he had to come off. But I hope he’ll recover for Sunday, but I don’t know,” added the manager in his post-match press conference.
“Inside of his ankle. I think he went over on his ankle.”
