Solskjaer not happy with Man United despite win over Leicester

Leicester 0 Manchester United 1

Man United faced Leicester City on Sunday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked to extend his unbeaten run as United boss.

Solskjaer has now taken charge of 10 Man United games and has won nine of them, drawing 2-2 with Burnley in the remaining game.

As a result, United have now climbed up to 5th in the league and are just two points off a Champions League spot.

An excellent achievement given they were 11 points away from the top four under Jose Mourinho.

Marcus Rashford would score the only goal of the game on Sunday, his sixth in eight Premier League matches under Solskjaer.

After the game, United’s interim boss was full of praise for the young forward.

Solskjaer not happy with Man United display

Despite Solskjaer praising Rashford and going a 10th game in a row without defeat, he was unhappy with United’s display vs Claude Puel’s side:

“We weren’t happy at half time. I don’t think we can be too happy with the performance and that’s a good thing.

“We know we’ve got plenty of things to work on and I think we’ll see that progression in the next few weeks. Because it’s going to be a tough and enjoyable February.”As quoted by ESPN.

Given United’s upcoming fixture list it is easy to see why Solskjaer wants his side to improve.

United do have a fairly easy away trip to Fulham coming up next.

After that though, Man United face PSG, Chelsea and Liverpool in a run of games that could tell us a lot about Solskjaer’s chances of becoming United’s permanent boss.
