Solskjaer gives Paul Pogba injury update before Man United vs Reading

Manchester United vs Reading

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take charge of his first FA Cup game as Man United boss on Saturday vs Reading.

With the new year upon us, the FA Cup 3rd round is set to kick off this weekend and Solskjaer will no doubt be keen to take United as far as possible.

Since taking over as United boss Solskjaer has got the best out of Man United’s previously underperforming side.

Heading into the cup clash with Reading, United have now won their last four league games vs Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth and Newcastle.

Reading, however, are not on such a good run of form.

They currently sit 23rd in the Championship and have not won any of their last five league games.

Paul Pogba injury update

So, a Man United win is very much on the cards on Saturday.

But United may have to face Reading without one of their most inform stars.

Paul Pogba has been in excellent form since Solskjaer took charge, in four league games he has scored four and assisted two.

Unfortunately, Pogba would pick up a knock in United’s last game vs Newcastle and is now a doubt to face Reading:

“I’m not sure if Paul [Pogba] is going to be ready for this one.

“He got a knock vs Newcastle and hopefully Fellaini will get through the training session today and then we’re more or less a full squad.”

Solskjaer has also confirmed that both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez will start on Wednesday.
