Alexis Sanchez is not going to the World Cup…
And, it is all the fault of Arsenal team mate David Ospina!
South American World Cup qualification was packed with amazing drama on Tuesday night.
And, now we are left to wonder how it will affect squad harmony at Arsenal.
Chile lost 3-0 to Brazil and failed to make the World Cup.
Meanwhile. Colombia did make it thanks to a 1-1 draw with Peru. The latter will now go to a play-off.
Chile’s qualification hopes started to rest elsewhere when they began conceding goals in the second half to Brazil. Paulinho and Gabriel Jesus were on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, Colombia were 1-0 up at Peru thanks to James Rodriguez.
With 14 minutes to go, Paulo Guerrero made it 1-1 for Peru with a free-kick.
Surprisingly, the free-kick scored by Guerrero was indirect.
The fact David Ospina touched the ball into his own net meant that the Peru equaliser stood.
Essentially Ospina’s error means Chile and Alexis Sanchez will not be playing at the World Cup.

Narrator: "Indirect free-kick, Paolo!
He takes it… GOAL!
He (Ospina) touched it!
He touched it!" pic.twitter.com/ihNUlVRT3W

How will Alexis Sanchez react to David Ospina back at Arsenal?
Now Gunners fans are wondering how Sanchez will react to Ospina back at Arsenal.
Already Arsenal feel like they have put themselves in a poor position with Sanchez.
In his final year of his contract at Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez was supposed to give everything as it’s a World Cup year.
This argument is now null and void…

Pretty sure Alexis is going to kill Ospina when they're back at London Colney.

Ospina singlehandedly eliminated Alexis Sanchez & Chile from the World Cup by getting a hand to but not saving an indirect free kick by Peru

What the fuck was David Ospina doing, indirect free kick, player shoots straight at goal n the dick pushes it into the net and that equaliser eliminates chile haha see you at training Alexis 🙈🙈

I used to love Alexis Sanchez, but his attitude stinks, and the fact he wants to leave so badly leaves a bad taste. Glad Chilie missed out, thanks to Ospina of all people. Ha. #AFC

Alexis going to show Ospina no mercy in training back at Arsenal

Ah I’d pay good money to be there when Alexis and Ospina see each other for the first time in training tomorrow.
