West Brom v Aston Villa

Monday was a special night at the Hawthorns.

West Brom put on a show for their supporters as they blew Burnley off the park in a comfortable 4-0 win.

Matthew Phillips opened the scoring for the Baggies, before James Morrison and Darren Fletcher added further goals in the first half. Salomon Rondon put the icing on the cake midway through the second period.

The win took the Baggies up to 9th in the Premier League, and after the game the club’s official Twitter account fired shots at close Midlands rivals Aston Villa.

Villa get trolled

The claret and blues were relegated from the Premier League last season, while they are currently lying in a lowly 16th place in the Championship.

Taking advantage of Villa woes, West Brom posted the following on social media:

Albion put four past a team in claret & blue for the second time this season. Where are Aston Villa when you need them?

One Villa fan rose to the bait with a decent comeback.
