Eric Bailly injured v Swansea

Trouble for Man United’s Eric Bailly after Liverpool

Liverpool fans vs Eric Bailly

Liverpool fans are mobilised on social media on Saturday to highlight an incident involving Eric Bailly.

Liverpool lost 2-1 at Man United in the Premier League, as Jose Mourinho opened up a five point lead on Jurgen Klopp.

But should Man United have finished the game with 10-men?

In the final minutes of the match, Eric Bailly got into a confrontation with Liverpool sub striker Dom Solanke.

A photo during the clash caught Bailly putting his hand around Solanke’s throat.

Bailly wasn’t even booked during his clash with Solanke, but Liverpool fans are pushing for retrospective action.

Man United 2 – Liverpool 1

Second place in the Premier League is now Man United’s to lose.

Liverpool were 2-down at the break as Marcus Rashford stole the show.

Rashford, on his first start since Boxing Day, broke the deadlock with a fabulous solo effort from a Romelu Lukaku flick on.

The England international was on hand to slam home a second before the interval after more good work from Lukaku in the build up.

In the second half Liverpool put in a far more spirited performance, and they got on the board when Eric Bailly put a cross in his own net.

But Liverpool couldn’t find the leveller as United moved five points clear for the Reds.
