Paul Lambert goes nuts

Stoke urged to play a surprise striker vs Brighton

Stoke vs Brighton

Paul Lambert’s good start at Stoke City came to a halt last weekend at Bournemouth.

After Xherdan Shaqiri fired Stoke into an early lead on the south coast, two second half goals turned the match in Bournemouth’s favour.

Since succeeding Mark Hughes in the Potters dugout, Lambert has recorded a win, a draw and a defeat.

Lambert opened with victory over Huddersfield. Stoke drew 0-0 at Watford before last weekend’s loss.

Can the Potters return to winning ways against Brighton this weekend?

Brighton are three points above the Potters at the wrong end of the table.

Will Stoke play Tyrese Campbell?

Stoke fans are calling for Tyrese Campbell to play for Stoke this weekend.

Campbell, 18, has been banging in the goals for the Stoke U23 side this season.

Moreover, he’s the son of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell.

Indeed, Kevin Campbell tweeted about his son on social media this week after he scored twice in a 3-2 win over Middlesbrough U23.

Tyrese Campbell has scored 14 goals for the under-23s, and after the Boro game Stuart Taylor, the assistant manager at Stoke, talked about a possible senior call-up for the teenager:

That’s a question for the manager in terms of team selection – but age doesn’t come into it. If you’re good enough you’re old enough.

In terms of individuals, it would be unfair to make comments, but it was good to see Tyrese get two goals.

Now Stoke fans have taken to social media to call for Tyrese Campbell to be given a chance in the Premier League.
