Spurs winger deletes Tweet on Champions League draw after fan anger

Spurs grab a group of death!

Last season, Tottenham were drawn in a group that was widely considered to be “easy” yet failed to get out of it.

Instead, Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen made it through as the “Wembley curse” reared its ugly head on Tottenham.

Fast forward to Thursday’s Champions League group stages draw and Tottenham’s group is considered one of the hardest around.

Real Madrid & Borussia Dortmund!

If Tottenham are to make it out of the group stages in the Champions League, they will have to better the results of either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund.

Spurs’ recent record against the European champions and Bundesliga giants is not great, to say the least.

Whilst Tottenham will also have to show their mettle against Cypriot side APOEL as well.

Nevertheless, this should be a group that inspires Tottenham’s fans and players.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou Tweets & deletes

One of the Spurs players to remark on the Champions League draw was French winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.

The former Marseille man has very much been on the fringes of Mauricio Pochettino’s first team at Spurs.

N’Koudou has also been linked with a move away.

After the Champions League draw was announced, N’Koudou Tweeted the following “Well thats the group of death [emoji] for us”.

Spurs fans rage…

In fairness to N’Koudou he added three strong arm emojis so it is unclear why so many Spurs fans were angered with the Tweet.

Perhaps Tottenham supporters are still smarting from the time N’Koudou was spotted wearing a Chelsea shirt this summer?

N’Koudou was then forced to explain his Tweet and why he deleted it, see below.
